“Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.”

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person” (Colossians 4:6).
…let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Corinthians 7:1
”Count it all joy when you fall into various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience and patience in turn produces perseverance”.
There are blessings for those who remain steadfast through trials, if not in this life in the life after where we will receive the crown of life.
{1 Corinthians 13:13}

”A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
According to the wise King Solomon, what makes a wife worth far more than rubies? Not a small waist. Not her chest size. Not her legs. Not her appearance at all. But her character. But no just any type of character but noble character.
A bad b**** is a dime a dozen and will only fall off with time. One should never strive to be something that depreciates over the years.
So before you start looking to be someone’s wife, make sure you are working to become that woman of noble character, which is a rare gem that any man would be lucky to find.
Remember, it all starts with you.

“Embracing Your Uniqueness”
How much time do we spend wishing we had what other people had or looked like they looked? We begin to forget that God made us for specific reasons and that we are His masterpieces.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The thing about wisdom is that it should be our most important pursuit in life. But what do we make a priority when we ask? Pleasure. We fail to see that it is from wisdom that we are able to aquire the riches of this earth, the love and just all the pleasure that we could ever ask for.
The Queen of the South (also known as the Queen of Sheba), visited Solomon because she had heard so much about his wisdom and his riches and she got there and realised that she had heard only the least of it. This dude was WEALTHY and beyond INTELLIGENT. She was in awe considering that she was wealthy and powerful in her own right. To learn from him, she bestowed upon him 120 talents of gold which amounted to about 3.5 million dollars, precious stones and an abundance of rare spices which had never been seen before. This is how we should be in our pursuit for wisdom. We should give it our all. It is worth it. And indeed, after realising that all he had came from the God he served, it is speculated that she went back to the south and served him too influencing all her subjects.
Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7)
As women, we require wisdom. There is no sadder scene than a beautiful woman entering a room, opening her mouth and completely destroying her beauty with the things that proceed from her lips. How sad that foolishness and folly can have such a disfiguring effect on a beautiful face.
Wisdom has built her house and has firmly set on a foundation of seven strong pillars. She lives on the principles of prudence, knowledge, discretion, counsel, sound judgement, understanding and power. Her instruction is always right and faultless. Therefore, you embrace what she says and it will lead you to riches, honour, enduring, wealth and prosperity. (Proverbs 8 and 9)
Be deligent in your pursuit of wisdom. Ask the Lord who is the divine source of all divine wisdom to give it to you. And you shall receive.
softscarletcarpets asked:
What does it mean to seek God’s face? How can I seek Him?
I answered:
The phrase “seek God’s face” comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says:
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their…
